Fifteen people straggled in from a variety of destinations, to be picked up from the Marseille Airport or Avignon TGV station, and deposited in Sainte-Cecile-les-Vignes, France, on Saturday, June 25.
Some of us spent an extra day en route in Marseille but all arrived at the villa in Ste Cecile in degrees of jet lag and in arrears on connections to the outside world.

After we'd all finally arrived and gathered for hors d'oeuvres and a light dinner, we got our announcements. Just one of several was that the wi-fi was broken and wouldn't be back until Tuesday.

What? No email, no blogs, no Google? For several days? People will think we've dropped off the face of the earth!
You'll know if this is reaching you that the great electronic dry spell has ended and our disconnect from time and space is over.

After going through days of "the Internet will be definitely fixed tomorrow," it's sudden appearance now, a week after arrival has caught me by surprise, so I'm not sure how quickly I'll recover and get to regular blogging again.
